2nd heavy snow at TARRI

yesterday was the 2nd heavy snow at my office. what make me so worried, i already send back my winter boots. finally i just wore my black boot which not so comfort for laboratory works. Around 10 am, we ( our grup member and i) went to electron beam building to irradiate our sample.

After finish irradiate, the foreigner reseacher play with the snow including me. just want to share the last picture of me in snow at TARRI.

Roubai no sato at Annaka-city

Another beauty of Japan. Roubai flower, which bloom during winter. Now, already end of winter so the flower already fully bloom. the smell of this flower so sweet. i had a great opportunity to visit the park. the park contain about 3000 Roubai tree. Its about 30 km from my lodging here.

Disaster Prevention Exercises at TARRI

Japan well know country which frequently had Earth quake. Today, TARRI organize disaster prevention exercises. i couldn't felt the training because all the announcement in nihon-go. just follow the others. i took my camera and i wan to share with you all.

Of course being researcher is the most boring and interesting career, but u want to see what happened to this young researcher when she stuck. i can consider myself as young officer, because i am the only 2 series researcher here.

32days to be home. counting days to be home and the same time i stuck will all the laboratory
work and preparing the final report. at this time, i still wearing my white dirty labcoat and reading journal for my final report. lucky i well train to drink cold or hot coffee at any time. *minum je la kn sejok ke panas ke* but........ i know this is my career until my age 60 being research officer.Siti-san stuck

My Mother wish

Oh.. i just know 2 cousin getting married in 2012. so erm.. just remember my mother. last time, when we talk about our married ( kak long, girl and i) she pray to Allah, give her good health until her daughters wedding. I know she get more pressure and insist us to married. what to do. Farhan left me before i fly here. i have no 'guy' to married, and no 'guy' propose me.

Pity to my lovely mother. but mama u should pity us, no one propose to married us. i don't want to think about this again. to many entry about married. please. i pray day and night for this important thing. My 27 year old age is not the issue, but my mama age, 59 and my father age 66 is the big issue.My Kak long, My Lovely Mother,Me and My girl

63rd Sapporo Yuki Matsuri 2012

The Sapporo Snow Festival, one of Japan's biggest winter events. This event ca attracts a growing number of visitor from Japan and abroad. This year we ( Ma-san and husband, shima-san and me) are in the statistic of the event. Every winter, about 2 million people come to Sapporo to see the hundreds of beautiful snow statues and ice sculptures which line Odari Park, the ground at Tsudome and the main street in Susukino.

Sapporo city, the capital city of Hokkaido prefacture. This short trip made me cry to catch every single things. We stay at Susukino area which is full with the entertaiment. Full of big shoppingmall and near to Odori park.

Otaru Snow Light Path Event 2012

This last entry about the most cool and romantic city, Otaru. This winter trip give me a memorable view of snow light path. There are many venues of the event around the city. Among them, the main site is OtaruCanalarea which is the popular tourist spot within easy access

Various kinds of ice-candles made by citizens are also seen on the canal, walks, or shopping streets, making the fantasy world after dark. And the entire city decorated with more than 150,000 snow and ice candles seems to be a romantic winter wonderland!

Otaru City Japan 2012 Trip: Otaru Canal

Otaru Canal the romantic place that i knew trough japan movie 'Love Letter', but this canal have their own history. Otaru Canal, 1140m in length and 40m in width, was completed in 1923 after nine years of construction work. At first, the canal was crowded with bargeｓcarrying coal or marine products.

Around that time, many stone warehouses were built to store these goods. But after the piers were built at Otaru Port, enabling goods to be carried directly from ships onto trucks, the canal fell into disuse and the water became stale and smelly. At first, the city planned to fill in the entire canal and build a road over it. But citizens resisted the plan, and ten years later, in 1986, the city finally gave in and agreed to preserve the canal.Though it had already been partly filled in, most was left intact. Walking paths were built alongside, and 63 gas lights were installed. Now Otaru Canal is a popular tourist destination. The old stone warehouses have been turned into restaurants, shops, and museums.

When i was there, the temp was -5.8. I can't stay longger.

Otaru City Japan 2012 Trip : Steam Clock

Another interesting spot at Otaru city is the steam clock. The location just in front of the museum. The Steam Clock made by a Canadian clock maker and was a gift from Vancouver to Otaru. Powered entirely by steam, the clock plays a chime every 15 minutes.

Otaru city, second famous city in Hokkaido after Sapporo. Be the first city for my trip last weekend. we arrived there around 4 pm. So it already dark. first place to visit was Otaru Musical Box Museum. Here, we can build our own musical box. we can choose own song with on decoration. but, i didn't do that, 'someone' should buy for me soon.
